Katie Demain

 

For the past 15 years, Katie has been tutoring Executive Presence and Communications Skills at business schools in the UK, USA, South Africa and UAE. She also works with Leadership Teams in global organisations, to guide them to optimal teaming performance.

Fascinated by the link between positive leadership, organisational happiness and high performance cultures, Katie enjoys the challenge of helping leaders make positive behavioural shifts that have a cascade effect to their direct reports and beyond. Her background in journalism enables her to adeptly understand a person and be able to ask the right questions to facilitate change and breakthrough.

Katie is a public speaker and thought leader on the Science of Happiness at Work (TM). She is often interviewed on radio programs and has spoken at international conferences and U.N. Forums. Katie has a degree in European Business Management and works in French and Spanish as well as English.

Katie has been coaching clients since 2007 when she was awarded a double distinction from The Coaching Academy. She is an Accredited Professional Coach through the EMCC and is also about to qualify as a Medical Coach, having been studying with MCI (Israel) for the past 18 months. Her coaching work is increasingly focused on helping clients to manage their mindsets around illness, stress and burnout.

Katie started her career in journalism, leading teams of journalists to countries as diverse as Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Indonesia. She has lived and worked in twelve countries over the past thirty years. She has also represented the U.K. as State Visit Officer for Queen Elizabeth II’s State Visit to Ghana in 1999, liaising between the Government of Ghana and Buckingham Palace.
